Band HistoryKevin Barry and Jay Henning have performed together since 1999, playing Irish music venues throughout Northern California. They formed The Bog Savages with John McManus, Ben Roberts, and Jim Foley in early 2004. Since then, the band has become known as Northern California's most exciting and dynamic Irish rebel band.The Savages have played most of the Bay Area's top Irish establishments, including: Ireland's 32, The Blackthorn, Dog's Bollix, Maggie Mc Garry's, and the Abbey Tavern. They have just completed their debut album which is available online. Plans for a 2010 fall tour of Ireland and Britain in support of the new album are on hold until visa clearances for the band members are approved by the British Foreign Secretary and the State Department.
